Our Founder
Few words about our founder Rev. Fr. George Kuttickal MCBS
Fr. George Kuttickal MCBS founded Nazrath Ashram to serve the poor, mentally challenged, orphans, and homeless. Inspired by their struggles, he envisioned a rehabilitation center as a home for the homeless, a family for orphans, and care for the sick. The project began with a humble donation of 53 cents from an ordinary man and was inaugurated on May 16, 1996, starting with six orphans.
Community support played a vital role, with public contributions of labor, woodwork, and furniture sustaining the ashram. Ongoing expenses are covered by donations, along with food and clothing from local supporters. However, it now primarily operates as a facility for mentally ill men.
